All together it cost around $1000 dollars worth of damage after replacing bent valves, timing chains, oil pump, etc. When i put it back together I used an updated guide that bolts in front of the oil pump at one end.
Learn More11/11/ · Then the lower timing case cover just unbolted from the block and oil pan. Replaced both timing chain guides not just the one that broke (don't want to do this again). Since the motor was apart I replaced the oil seperator, thermostat, water pump, intake boot. The motor is basicly all new and should last me another 200k.
